The Graduate Scholarship is open to recent graduates how have obtained a 5-year university degree as part of a fulltime day program from Hungarian universities that offer 5-year and 5+ PhD degrees under the old higher education system. It is also open to recent graduates of a 3 plus 2-year program in Hungary under the new higher education system.

Applicants are solely responsible for applying to and being accepted to the respective program and university. Applicants should have secured acceptance or have begun the admissions process prior to applying.

Eligibility Requirements

• Applicants must be Hungarian citizens with permanent residency in Hungary.
• Applicants must have their degree program in Hungary completed by the start of their academic programs in the US.
• Applicants must secure their acceptance to an accredited American university/college or certificate-granting institution.
• Relatives and immediate family members of the HAESF employees, HAESF Advisory Board and HAEF Board are not eligible to apply.
